I need a small, portable and clean combo amp to run with pedals.
I used to have a Ceriatone Ods, and a friend of mine has a HRM 100.
Since I loved the clean channel of my 50w ODS and I remember it takes pedals so well, I'd like a stripped version of that channel.
No fet input, no switches, no PAB, just a gain, eq knobs and a master.
Anyone built something like that and will to share a layout?
Thanks

Re: minimalist single clean channel?
When you say small and portable ............... I'll throw this in with the many other considerations. You could build this easily within the size of a Deluxe 5E3 cab using an inexpensive tweed style chassis. The photo is actually my Tweed BluezMeister cab but would accomadate this idea just as easily.
Here is a soundclip of what it would sound like. The schematic is essentially the D'Mars ODS without the overdrive section but with 5881's instead of the 6V6's on the schematic.
Keep in mind the D'Mars ODS has a Dumblish OD type section but you can easily distinguish when the OD is engaged in the soundclip.
It starts and ends on clean:

The schematic represents what you are hearing on the clean sections of the soundclip.

EDIT: OK, I quickly drew up a layout to go with this for anyone who might possibly be interested. I have both a schematic and layout in an editable SCH format also.

Re: minimalist single clean channel?
Have you checked out ice-racer's ManZamp? It is essentially a Dumblish amp with just a clean channel (as I understand it). I think there is both a schematic and layout available.
He has some superb soundclips on YouTube on this thread:

Re: minimalist single clean channel?
Here are some SCH editable schematics that you can use to make your own schematic and layout.
CHECK for errors! Compare schematic with layout. Consider this a DRAFT

Re: minimalist single clean channel?
T H A N K Y O U !!
After listening to Morgan SW amp line clips, I'd like to have something like that. 5E3 size is ok of course, but I can consider building something slightly larger as well.
A couple of 6L6s and a couple of 12AX7s, that's it.
Unfortunately Morgan amps are very difficult and expensive to get here in Italy.
The "De Clean" seems perfect for my needs.

Re: minimalist single clean channel?
You are welcome! Hope some of that will be useful to you.
You can use J-schem or ExpressSCH to open the editable schematic and layout.

It may be useful to check out the schematic and layout for the Small Special also for additional info:
