New "Dumbleish" OD pedal by Fuchs

Post by dogears »

Hey guys,

Andy Fuchs sent me a prototype of his new solid state OD pedal to try out. This thing is a beast! I love it. Here is the first clip ever of this pedal. To be unbiased (lol), I used my Baker RF (untuned argh) on bridge pup into the pedal, into a totally clean Glaswerks clean channel then into a 1X12 Fuchs cab loaded with a Celestion Heritage G12-65. SM57 mic, EMU 1616m interface and mic pre. No EQ, no editing, no anything. Just a touch of verb in the mix.

I hear these may be available around September. I'll post a pic in a few....

Sounds great. I'd like to hear it in another amp, non-Dumble type to see if the Dumblish charactor still comes through.

johnhenry, we won't learn what's in this box, Fuchs is in the business of selling amps and now pedals, we should respect his designs.

You weren't faking, that DOES sound nice. I'm quite impressed, and that's saying something coming from a jaded pedal builder. LOL

I would also like to hear the solid state pedal with stock Fender amp. I've built two versions of the D-circuit as a pedal and they both sound marvellous with D-style amps + with AX84-P1, but horrible with my Fender Princeton reverb (might be the speaker also).

Thanks for the clip,
mat

Have you got an approximate price in mind yet Andy? (I promise we won't hold you to it if you'd give us a sneak preview. :D )

If you're starting up an 'interested' list, please put me down for a Solid State Plush-OD.

Thank God. I did the wait game on two different pedals by a well-known builder/company. One of the pedals took over two years. I wasn't impressed, and was even less impressed when I opened it up and saw what it was. Fortunately for my sanity, I do enjoy the pedal and it does sound great.

Hats off, Andy!
