Here's pics of my latest. Hybrid A 6v6 Dumble Lite. Its in a 15.5" x 7.5" Chassis. As I posted in another thread...this one is under-filtered. There's a cap can underneath the board. I tried to get by with a "set" mid resistor (due to space issues), but I could not. The mid pot is now located underneath the chassis. Its not available for mid-song changed, but at least its there now.
The speaker is a Weber California 10". I tried 3 other speakers first. There was NO competition. The California blows the others away.
I wish I could take credit for the cab, but in my wildest dreams I could not construct this one. It was built by Skip (aka WNC Luthier) from this board. In fact, while Skip did not bring me into amp building, he DID bring me to Dumble building...so thanks to WNC Luthier all around.

That cab is actually built from the top boards of my old kitchen table. Recycling at its best! sh

Sweet! Looks like a real sleeper.
BTW, I've got you beat for tiny Dumbles. This one is 14"x6" with full tone stack and tube rectifier.

Yea, Norm...that's not to mention that you've got that laydown transformer, all your caps in the chassis...your design is just outstanding. Probably sounds better too!
Re: 6v6 Dumble Lite Amp Porn
Haha! Thanks Harris! It was just an early prototype using Brownnote's 18watt Lite IIb chassis. We decided against it because it's a PITA working in such a small space. Never got around to tuning it but it sounds OK.Harris wrote:Yea, Norm...that's not to mention that you've got that laydown transformer, all your caps in the chassis...your design is just outstanding. BTW - There IS one cap can under the bias board.
