Hey all. Relatively new poster here. I caught the tube amp bug about one year ago and have been reading everything I could about them ever since. I've been thoroughly enjoying the forums here about the ODS and I've learned tons from the schematics and discussion thereof, but is there any info out there about the HAD's other amps (Small Special, Steel String Singer)?
As of right now, a D-clone is still a few years down the line. I'm in the process of fine tuning a SE champ type amp I constructed. As soon as I'm reasonably happy with that, I'm going to attempt to re-wire an old Gregory I have with a Marshall 18-watt type circut, and then it'll on to the fun stuff. In the meantime, however, I plan to keep absorbing everything I can. Is there anything out there on other Dumbles?

Re: Other Dumbles?
Most of the information around is on the non-HRM and the later HRM ODS. Thrtr is soome limited information on the SSS and some on the Dumbletor. Bear in mind that although the schematics you'll see are of the most part pretty good, all Dumble amps differ somewhat. There is no such thing as a 'standard circuit', there are some standard arrangements and test measurements, but the fun is in the tweaking.
On your other amps (although a bit off topic), for the Champ, you might want to up the value of the smoothing caps. That gets rid of the inevitable hum that most suffer from because of the higher wall voltages these days.
V1a and V1b cathode bypass caps are fun tweak areas too.
Personally although I am a huge vintage Marshall fan (hence my screen name), I actually think the 18W is a dog compared to other similar amps. Every one I've heard has sounded farty. A much better option and a fun build for newbies is the Trainwreck Liverpool. This can be done in a 36W or an 18W version. Check over on the other forums on this website, Nick at Ceriatone does a pretty good (and very inclusive) kit for reasonable money too.
I definately recommend you get build something like the 'Wreck' and maybe a JTM-45 or something before you attempt a Dumble. Although tevhnically not difficult, with relay channel switching, critical layouts and whole host of things that can make it sound like poo, you may find it frustrating unless you gather some experience up first.
