Presence wiring

Wouldn't it be better to wire the presence control so there is no DC present on the potentiometer? If you think the resistance matters you could use a 330 instead of the 390.

I tried a 5k when I couldn't find a 2k. It's ineffective until about 3:00, then it comes on all at once. I put a 2.2K resistor across it and it was better but not as good as a 2KB pot.
