Weber "Dumble" kit

does anyone know what kind of transformers are used for the Halle kit?

And what about ordering it from Germany?

Well if you look cross-eyed through rose colored glasses you can see the lineage. But those values. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet that thing has got to be harsh.

And the bias circuit is downright scary!

The selection of Plate and cathode values are very "unique".

Personally I use a 500K pot so that there's no question about dialing in the correct class of operation. If I decide to try class Z........

Yes that's a tad much on the range pot.

Apparently he's using a Marshall JTM45 size head cab. I think it looks pretty cool.

Considering the number of apparent "Marshallisms" in the schematic, it seems quite appropriate. And to think, I get beat up for"too many knobs".....

I've been planning to build a dumble for a friend of mine, but hadn't had the time to organize it all. I saw this and emailed him. He contacted Weber and was told it'll be about two weeks before they begin shipping. As soon as I get it I'll post all the info on transformers, etc.
If i ever get my friggin' house sold, I'll probably buy one for myself!

Of course I'll start with the "right" components, and tweak from there. Also got to put in a dumbleator.

Not, that's more Soldano like. Cathode followers and low biased gain stages. Weber claims it's from the Yamaha that Soldano designed.
