Yeah, well the funny part is that I grew up in Bakersfield and around 1970 or so I was playing in a band. We pooled our money and bought a PA. I am 99.7% certain it was that unit or another one he built. I remember laughing at the thing when I first saw it.

Guess who is NOT laughing now........

It does just scream flea market:)

I really hate the way his amps look, which suprises me that people want to make amps that look like his also, with the funky buck rogers font and all:)

Of course, i shouldn't speak.. i am too lazy to make a face plate.. my current amp even has the wrong labels in marker above the pots..

A similar amp appeared on US ebay early last year. Just a tube head, one of mrDs '60s amps. The seller didn't have a clue, listed it as a homebrew starting at $100 but wouldn't ship OS. Didn't pull one bid. More than likely ended up in a flea market somewhere.
