farty od...

Post by swt »

This amp is driving me crazy...i have 3 clones working, that sounds amazing...but this amp...the only one that's not mine...is possesed  . although i tried to follow changes from dogears, and others...the od is a little farty...and i can hear some buzz riding on top of the note. Is this an oscillation??. don't have a scope...is there a way to find it without one?. damn...

The buzz riding on the note may be bad filters, or poorly grounded filters. I'm sure there are other causes but this was my experience. Filters can also cause farty bass.

I'd start by checking out all the grounding.
