In case you hadn't noticed; Australia managed to avoid the worst of it by having appropriate REGULATION put there by our politicians. ;-)

You have a guy trying to implement some basic regulation. Best you support him.

Back to Dumble clones; Nik from Ceriatone builds a damn fine amp.

It`d be easy ta support Obama, IF

He wasn`t a Muslim

his admin was truly transparent

He`d offer a USA birth certificate

He wasn`t FOR abortion

If he acted like aleader, vs knee jerk operations

If He actually MADE his staff read AZ immigration law

He had`t of hired all of Clintons cronies. ( notice who made the Sestak move)

If he`d just listen to the American people period..........esp on health care

But..I do pray for the guy..

Shalom, jim

I'd respond to that unfocused, untrue rant; but you're too fkn dumb to even use quote tags properly. Best you go and have a teaparty tosser.

@Gruffnutz and Groovetubin

Please don't start an embarrasing and childish political pseudo discussion.
We are here to talk DIY Dumble amps. Take the dogfight somewhere else.

I had no idea old Laneys used Partridge iron. Which ones?
I'm not really able to answer the question, since all they have is some number stamped on the outside, and I haven't been able to get info on the internet, based on those type numbers.

However, take a look at the attached pics maybe it'll give you a clue.

Thanx bfbm. The TG numbers I think are the Partridge transformer part numbers.

I was really asking about which old Laney amps have Partridge iron in them. I see one of those transformers is also marked 99 08 which looks like the year and week of manufacture. I would be looking especially for 100W amps.

Correction-I took another look, that 99 08 is actually 99 88, so not a mfg date.

Gotya, I bought two Laney amps back in the mid 90s.

One 50w (Laney LC60)
and one 100w (Laney Supergroup)

They were both Marshall clone (or Fender Bassman clones with EL34 like mid 60s european marshalls) and sounded quite good. However, I want Dumble sound so I just kept the transformers.

Both amps looked like the picture, just to give you a clue, if you happen to find one on ebay.
