FUCHS ODS 30 with little 1x12 cab loaded with old EV12L

Post by John Edmonds »

Here is my FUCHS again but this time through a little 1x12 cab loaded with an old EV12L. I'm also using a Clearsonic acoustic screen so I can crank the amp without deafening the front row :) No pedals.

John I couldn't hear anything I was to busy checking out the bass lines, sorry. :)

That sounded very good and your cut right through. Nice playing.

You were using the second position on your pickups, right? Did you find that by using the 12L speaker it is more efficient than the others you have tried?

Hi Mark,

Yes, she's lovely

The first 24 bars was neck p/u, last 12 bars was bridge humbucker, seymour Duncan '59

The EV12L is 100db so yes my little ODS 30 has stacks of headroom.
I normally use a 2x10 cab which has Eminence Ragin Cajin which are also 100db so is about the same volume. I would struggle with a cab with less sensitive speakers.

The EV12L is definitely more "hi-fi" so the clearsonic panel is a must.
Probaly a beam blocker would do the same thing, but I prefer the panel as I can take it away if ( or when ) the band gets loud.....
