Heisthl,

1. I attached a picture of the real deal. It shows a 1.3K resistor (the white one on the left). I used mouser part # 273-1.3K-RC.

2. I just followed HAD on that one. I went from the pictures that Funk posted in this thread: https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.php?t=3944

UltraHooked,

What a professional job. My stuff always looks like a science fair project.

Hey, thanks! Well, if it looks like a science fair project but works rather than looks good and doesn’t (which initially this Dlator didn’t), I’d opt for the former scenario! I remember, I had to chase down a nasty ground loop on this one. Isolating the jacks and grounding them in front of the pots solved it, which seems to be the conventional wisdom on how it’s done around here.

I appreciate it! Thanks. I’m on a building hiatus as of right now. I’m just so happy to be playing my new Bluesmaster so building must wait for the moment. For now, I’ll just kick back a bit and watch all you crystal-lattice-loons have at it (careful though, don’t want to upset those fragile harmonics and all  ).

Thanks guys.

This is OT but what the hey:

Stelligan, I know exactly what you mean with the dog hair thing. Looking at your avatar, it would seem you have a German Shepherd, no?

Here’s a picture of our German Shepherd, Nestor, who decided it was prudent to go carve out a nice ditch in my mother’s garden. This is how I found him…

Where’s that Cesar Millan when you need him dammit!

Dog hair in your builds can give it a nice snarl.. Especially Sheppard hair..
My builds have some Westie hair in them so they chase squirrels!!...here she is in the back seat singing along with who let the dogs out. DOGS RULE!!

Calm and Pitchy..

Tony

Here is a pic of my little buddy.

He loves hanging out in the basement in the summer where my work room is. It's nice and cool. But when I get those big ol ODS's going he runs :)

That's a great looking Dumblator. I will be using your pics as reference when I build mine. Do you have a part # on the rack?

I had a bad ground loop in my build as well.
I didn't have any isolation washers for the jacks so I just snipped the ground wire on one of the shielded cables that went from a pot to the board and it went away.

Dog owners unite!

I don't trust people that don't like dogs. :D

Here's our motley crew. Four dogs and a cat.
We had to put down the little tan Italian Greyhound a couple months ago due to kidney failure. It was heartbreaking to say goodbye to him as he was my little buddy.

I know it is the wrong forum but this is a dog topic and my partner is on all my son's amps (shih tzu's rule).

Great pic. Been there. Right now Layla is recovering from ACL surgery. She has a little less hair but, still likes to get in the amp building room to supervise!
