Dumble style parallel mid vs Fender series mid tonestack

Post by topbrent »

There have been a few brushes with this topic in some recent posts, and rather than hijack, I thought I would start a fresh thread.

Gary mentioned about not trying to model the dumble style stack in the Duncan calculator. https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.php?t=10274.
And JaySG mentioned that it doesn't accurately depict function due to series vs parallel mids.

Lets discuss the real world functional differences in operation and tone between a series mid cap style fender tonestack, and the parallel Dumble style mid cap tonestack.

Thanks guys!

Best option would be to ask Duncan, if he could add the skyliner to his program. Anybody know him??
