Less than 10 dollers of wood,My buddy was over helping me with some bigger cabs so I helped him make a cab and head out of some mohogony and poplar scraps,The amp was a garage sale vox junker but in the end it all came out nice on the cheap. We took his little combo and made a 10 inch cab.It was good to spend some time with an old friend,Actually I was ready to kill him by the time it was done :D

Stripey! I likey!

I would love to see your technique on glueing the strips together. In my past tries, my pieces didn't sit flush, requiring far too many trips thru the planer afterward.

Scrap cabs indeed.
The rest of us would be strutting our stuff if we could make cabs like that.
Well done buddy!

Thanks guys,I have a wood molding company near by,They have a corner there where you can get cut offs,A lot of mohogony and sometimes just depending on what project this mill is doing you can finf walnut ,poplar ,maple .A nice pile is 30 bucks,Its more than you can carry at one shot. Some of the mohogony is 2 inches + thick. You could cut a solid body guitar easy from that. The guy who owns it has a place in Africa so thats where all the mohogony comes from.I found a two foot wide pc cut from a 20 foot board there one time and it was 2 inches thick.I slice them up into 3rds and plane them down for trim.If any of you guys ever want a thick piece for a guitar or something let me know :D
