One must have matching cabs!!!

I wanted to build a headshell like the four hole Marshalls we all know and slobber over. Maybe someday I'll own one. I made the shell 24" so it would fit on most of my existing speaker cabs.

5/8" sides, 3/4" round overs - non standard handle, all piping to be maple.

Aside from the boooorrrrriiiiiiinnnnnngggggg [boring] experience of milling down the 7/8" to 5/8" with a drum sander [No easy access to a planer wide enough] this was an easy cab to build. No extra bits of round over wood for the 1" rounds on the speaker cab or baffle stuff.

Cut the piping last night [still have all of my fingers]. Cut the grooves in tonight and fit the piping. The piping is just press fit - there are some scratches from the table saw that may get addressed.

Astonishing job Russ. Let me know about your 212 cab, it seems deeper than a regular 1936, isn't it?

Hi Deeder,

The 1936 depth changed throughout the years - I've seen where they started in the 9" range and moved out to the 12" - which is what I used as I put a 4210 JCM 800 into a head and it is close to 11" wide due to the chassis depth.
