How do you judge the sound of speaker by dimension?

I saw something on Youtube about the cone of British sounding speaker is deeper than American sounding speaker. Is that true.
How can you tell whether the speaker has bigger bottom, more highs, mids, more open etc. just by looking at the speaker.
In another word, how does the physical dimension or the make of the cone affecting the sound.
Thanks

Too general a statement and generally not true. It has to do with the mechanical properties of the speaker, cone wieght, surround material, and free air resonance. In fact , if anything, IMHO British designers actually go for less bass in the designs of their guitar speakers. For example JBL and E/V speakers are generally capable of more lows than
most celestions. You can't really judge a speaker just by looking at it, although a speaker with a "half roll" surround is almost always designed as a"woofer" as apposed to speakers with a "multiroll" or accordion edge suspension which is usually a more "full range" design.

Alan, I hope you can keep a secret.
The dimension you are looking for is not listed on any spec sheet. Few dare to even talk about it out loud:

I don't know much about speakers, I just curious after I watched a Youtube of the guy measuring the depth of the cone on the British Red Coat Eminence vs American Swamp Thang.

Loudspeakers are probably the most subjective and least understood of all audio devices.
It is the direct link to your ears.
Depending on efficiency and impedance to name a couple of the specifications it can end up great or an aural nightmare.
We all know that speaker enclosures are not all created equal.
I really believe the early amps and combos may be more of accidental nature than any careful engineering.
But, I like happy accidents.
