I have one of the small rotating speaker units out of a Hammond Organ, and would like to try and make the little Leslie, but cannot locate the plans.

You might try organforum.com . Lots of good information on Leslie's and organs, and some DIYers as well.

I have a couple of project cabs, the shorties. If I get to my storage today I will take photos and rough measurements. Tall cabs were the more desirable 122 & 147. I know Hammond players now wanting the shorties go figure. There are web sites of DIY builds and one of a creative individual that made custom blades attached to a circular saw to cut the side slots. Some pretty some NOT, but still obtaining good results. Good luck.

Here are some photos and a little data I collected for a similar project I have not started yet. These might help you.

Right now, I just run the thing open, with no enclosure. The effect comes off very well on the fast speed, but almost not at all on the slow speed.

I can post detailed dimensions of a Vibratone. Over the weekend I purchased/Traded for a slightly "Roachy" vibratone. The Grill Cloth has two tears and the tolex is loose but all there. The speaker is functional, but the drive mechanism is in pretty rough shape the motors are corroded but seem to work and the footswitch is all there including the crossover. The biggest problem I have found is that the baffle and grill framework is made of particle board that has absorbed lots of moisture over the years and has swelled is places. I will post pictures shortly.
