looking for technical info on this speaker. Cetek Guass; 3181A, a JBL spin off I believe, from the 70's. Dollar amount? Specs? I know these are 200w with some close models that handle more power. 3181A is a 200w model.
Has anybody played through these with a Gibson or Fender amp. Will a BFTwin Reverb drive a pair of these. They are 8ohm and easily set up as a pair in an extension box. opinions would be appreciated and I certainly need to get one of my own. opinions, I mean.

Since no one else has chimed in. I had one of these back in the early 70's. Dual spiders to keep the coil in better alignment I believe. I doubt the 200w rating as I blew it up with a 50w Bassman . Too sterile sounding for me. I never wanted another. Might be good for bass or pa.

I have an excellent 50w BF Bassman.... I'll give it a try. perhaps I too can pop one of these. I have been checkin around and this JBL spin off from the early seventies is supposed to be.... reputed to be bullet proof. They have super high power handling capability models. these 3181a guys are supposed to be 200w from all I could gather. Someone said they thought they were 300W. I don't think so.

:D 3181 is a lower freaq response than the 3131A so I read.
