Speakers in a Boogie TL806 style cab

I had a few minuets today to try some different speakers in the Boogie cab. The original EVM 12L sounded great as well as an old EV SRO though the SRO was not as loud. I like the SRO in the closed back cab but not in a open back cab that I have. Finally I tried my JBL E120, awful. No low end and sounded small. The JBL sounds good in my open back 212 cab. I just saw a video on You Tube that had a JBL M222 that seemed to sound good. Anyone tried one of those?

Do you have the port on the TL806 open or closed?

Try it both ways for each speaker test.
