Speaker for Marshall MG30

Post by PoorOtis »

The amp came with a 10in speaker, and I was told if I put in a quality 12in that it would give me +3bd in volume. Is This True?? Would You replace the speaker or hook it up to a extrenal speaker cab..???
Just trying to get a little more out of this 30watt Marshall.
Thanks,Respects.

It could be true.. You would need to know the current speakers effeciency
This the SPL the speaker makes at 1db.

As far as using external verse replacing its all about box volume and person preference.

I don't mean to correct you but isn't it defined this way?

Sensitivity is usually defined as so many decibels at 1 W electrical input, measured at 1 meter.
