The Matchless Spitfire is a good circuit and I used one for gigging for several years. To cut through the mix I simply relied on my pedal board effects to help me through.
Nice!
Very tidy Merlin style heater wiring.
What chassis is it (I assume you haven't done those cut outs for the transformers)?
https://www.justgiving.com/page/5-in-5-for-charlie This is my step son and his family. He is running 5 marathons in 5 days to support the research into STXBP1, the genetic condition my grandson Charlie has. Please consider supporting him!
from your pictures on your version of the PPMIV I don't see the usual 2M
resistors across the lugs, how did you wire that up?
I see lug 1 to ground and ??
I want to build a Spitfire and maybe add an EF86 channel
and employ your MV
I also listening to your 1986 Plexi Build video....Wow

thanks in advance, Joe
One lug goes to ground and the other goes to the input of the power tubes. There is always a 250k reference to ground for the screens. No need to use extra resistors. The wiper is the input.
