Yes, good place to start...Micas are cheap enough to get some higher ones just in case...I keep a stash of 56p, 100p, 180p, 250p, 500p...

It would be a bummer to get nothing higher than 100p, then find out you need more and have to place another order...

You're probably aware of this, but the higher you turn up your Volume control, the less effect the bright cap will have...if you usually run the Volume at higher settings, a larger value will be more pronounced...

I like having a mini-toggle to select between a couple different values depending on where I'm running the Volume pot setting & what guitar/songs I'm playing, but not sure if you want to drill a hole in your chassis for the toggle...
First 25 years of playing, I never got along with EL84's...Now I think, WHAT THE HELL WAS WRONG WITH ME????

Yes...with no cap at all, the amp will be very dark at lower Vol. settings.

Finally got some silver mics caps and I put it on the normal volume pot and used 120 and it sounds a lot better. I can use the amp with the bright switch off and still get good highs. That was a nice thing to hear.

I am still trying to decide on an OT and choke and talked with MM. They have a money back guarantee based on TONE! The only bashing that MM gets is the price so thats good for them. They told me the Haddon OT will be more clearn, chimey, and dynamic. They also sell a Ken Fischer Wreck OT with dual primaries. They told me that Ken bought transformers from them at times but his spec sheet is secret. The owner developed a new transformer on what he thought would sound best in a wreck. They said more hifi.

Here are some clips of what I was told via email:

The Woden is great and our best seller.

The Haddon is our favorite and is chimier, cleaner and clearer. It nails the Beatles Vox sound and is also what we have found in many artist owned amps.

Actually Ken used anything he could get his hands on and actually used us for a long time after Pacific. Those were all custom designs that we will not sell out of respect to Ken per our owner Sergio who was a close friend to Ken.

The TW-KF-OT sounds amazing and is our own design on what we thought would be the ideal best sounding Trainwreck.

They are different. The Vox OT’s nail the Vox tonality while the TW-KF-OT is still chimey, is more neutral and transparent. Really dynamic in that sense.

Hmm...I have never heard a Bruno amp that did NOT impress me, and I have played a lot of amps. (Change that, there was ONE that I hated. A custom made Bulldog 45 that had so much gain, it sounded like a chain saw. Thats what the guy wanted, so Bruno made it like that) I heard on the original HW30s, Tony wanted at least one different transformer. Not sure about the new ones, but I LOVE my HW 15. One of the best sounding amps I have ever played period.
VERY GOOD VERY GOOD!
