Anyone build an AC30 off of Hoffman ampsboard/parts list?

Just curious. I was considering an AC30 type thing for my next build, but I didn't want to deal with the headaches of trying to tame the beast that is an Express/Liverpool again for a while.

How about a Rocket? I built one, and it was an easy build, sounded awesome!. I used RJ's chassis and boards. I liked it so much I sold my AC30 reissue!

I suggest that you built the Rocket as a combo because your going to want to take it every where.

Does is hiss as much as the liverpool/Express?

Good call Mark...I may have to do that when I build my next one. I recently had to sell mine, I sure do miss it!!

As far as hiss goes, I thought it was within "normal" tube amp standards. Keep in mind, the Rocket is essentially like the top boost channel of an AC30, not a high gain beast Build it, you'll love it
