Check Ebay. They show up sometimes for around $25k.

They always include the amp for free........Sorry, sometimes my sick sense of humor doesn't translate well in "forum speak."

I was just in Woodcrafters and seen they had exotic woods cut in various thicknesses, if I didn't have a neighbor who was a cabinet maker, that's where I would have got my 1/8" material for my faceplate. After splitting the first faceplate I tried to drill, I purchased some cheap chinese forstener bits and clamped the plate and used a drill press with excellent results. I'm going to have a local tattoo artist do the woodburning for me. Phil

I've got an extr blank faceplate that you would need to drill out. It's out of Ash but you can stain it to match. It's 3/32 thick instead of the 1/8 inch stuff. Just email me your address.

I found a lot of art stores sell 2" X24"X1/8" wood blanks. I made mine by milling the same material that I used for the cab so it would match.

Seems Dana has one for you.:D

Guys, Quick question.....

How are you mounting your faceplates? Are you drilling your faceplate so the controls, jack ect mount on the metal and the faceplate is held on by adhesive or are you cranking the pots down onto the wood? If the latter I am gonna need to get the PEC pots :?

Keith, if you use 1/8 thick wood like an original, get the PEC's. You can get some thinner wood at a craft store. I've seen 2" X 24" at both 1/16 and 3/32" Then you could use the dreaded alphas!

I bought my faceplate wood at Rockler (Bloodwood... muahahahaa  ) Actually, I bought two faceplates at Rockler. The first I drilled the holes, then countersunk them so my Alpha pots would fit. Then, after all that fun, I scrapped that and bought PEC pots. Too bad, since that first piece of wood had some nice figure.

Thanks Guys,

I ordered some pots from Steve at ApexJR. :D My cabs are complete already per the specs on the website. The would is Walnut. I am currently applying Tung Oil to one and Red Oak Stain to the other. They are looking pretty sweet! 8)
