A friend of mine found this in an old fender he is restoring...
We can read the 12A... but nothing else. Can anyone tell if this is a 12AX7 or not?
Thanks.

Re: Mullard
Was it in a position in the fender that would normally be for a 12ax7? I think it is probably an ax7, the at7's usually have a different plate structure. I'd just try it in an amp and see how it sounds. Phil

I have a few mullad 12AX7's..... they all sound great in my express.

						Tube config in V1, V2, V3
I got a stash of Mullards but I haven't tried them in my Express. I also have Amprex Bugle Boys, RCA's, GE's, Tungsols and Telefukens.
Right now I am running a Tunsol in V1 and RCA's in V2 and V3. Siemens EL34's for the power tubes.
What configurations (V1, V2, V3) sound good to your ear?
