It's pretty transparent compared to Hot Plates.
Mine works great, sounds great, but on the lowest bedroom setting my speakers become very farty and buzzy.
Still its not really "bedroom" level. I turn my guitar to 10, amp to about 9 o'clock, and have the airbrake on the lowest volume....and its still loud for an apartment.
I find its a better rehearsal/gig tool. Limiting your overall stage volume. If you want to get a cranked amp sound in your bedroom; better go get a single ended "single digit" watt amp.
