Demo Of My Weber Java aka Wrecking Ball Debbie

Post by bluesky636 »

Here is a demo of my Weber Java kit that I built as a poor man's Trainwreck Express. I named the amp "Wrecking Ball Debbie" after my wife.

The guitarist is my instructor, Vinny Roth (I'm a lousy guitarist).

He is playing my Fender MIM Stratocaster with Fender SCN pickups. The amp is playing through a Crate 4x12 that I picked up at Guitar Center for $100. I plan on putting better speakers in it when I have more money.

Sounds good when it gets wound up at the end. Should be capable of more gain, though--crank it!

Interested to see gut shots!

Sweetness on the cleans!
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Thanks. The guitar was my Fender MIM Standard Strat equipped with Fender SCN pickups which are set fairly low. Humbuckers or a slight clean boost using a Fulltone FD-2M set on Comp Cut really pushes the amp harder.

Here is my complete build thread with lots of photos:
