Extra "Asteroid" amp tranny set

Post by bnwitt »

I am in the process of building one of the "Asteroid" amps like Allyn's. I had two complete sets of trannies made (PT,OT, Choke) If anyone is interested in the extra set I am selling them for $275 plus shipping. Email me.

Alright it's a Komet

Ok, so I guess I underestimated the ability of the average forum user to figure out that an asteroid is a Komet. The extra trannies I have are for a Komet 60 build. If you are interested in them email me. If you want to sue me for having them, take a hike.

5150, the Power Tranny and choke are the same on both amps. The OT is a little different.

I will attest to the quality. These were made by Heyboer to the highest standards and exact values. They sound awesome. The OT listed here is an exact match for a Komet 60.

Ok got it!

Where could we get the proper OT? And also the power board must have a solid state rectifier right?

Nope not at all. If you think the Concorde OT has something over this one then you don't know enough about it and I don't want to have a dissapointed customer who thinks he's buying some invisible mojo cause you'll only be bummed due to your magic belief. Keep shopping dude.

Zippy, he who abandons his wife due to sag is a piece of shit. Jut remember, we get old and ugly too.

No disputing that. No one here said anything about abandoning anyone. Just a comment on those who place such great stock in something so superficial and transient.

"old and ugly" - We cannot avoid getting old but I disagree that we have to get ugly. Actually, we can avoid getting old but those consequences are too high a price to pay.

Cheers,

Z
