Well this one is over board

Somebody doesn't understand these things very well or is it just me. I just can't see this amp being worth that much. What do you think.

If you're gonna have one, that's probably the one to have. With a few small parts changes you can have a rockin' amp.

Trainwreck combo's?
Trainwreck has never manufactured a combo amp or licensed the design for one. But people have taken it upon themselves to build their own! Here are pictures of two of them.
That quote was from the trainwreck site.

.so i wonder what is what..looks like he has all the documents to prove its real. I think The Wreck site also says he never used reverb, effects loops or MV,among other things.

The site is a little confusing...is Ken making amps every now and then?

As I understand it. Kendrick Amps (Gerald Weber) had a deal with Ken to License the name Trainwreck to a Gerald Weber built Fender variant with some input by Ken Fischer. I think (my speculation) the deal went bad and the grey area surrounding the deal allowed GW to produce them whether KF liked it or not. It's been a while since I read the details and I may just be sniffin' too much solder. The point is, I played one 8 months ago and I was underwhelmed to say the least. I was used and could have had bad caps or tubes but, I wouldn't give you $700.00 for one. I would be interested to find out the details surrounding the relationship between KF and GW now. I personally like Gerald Weber and enjoy his books and kooky persona. He seems very knowledgable and I use a lot of his diagnostic techniques and they work well. I actually thought of going to his seminar in Sept. in Connecticut.

from the schematic I saw, the dirt channel of the climax is where the Komet came from.

Humble Opinion: Transformers are the weak link- way too undersized!

A customer brought one of those in to the shop that I used to work at about a year and a half back..... He'd paid quite a bit of cash for it and was really proud...... It was honestly one of the worst sounding things I'd played through in a very long time. I'm not positive on the tubes/caps condition, but it was harsh, brittle, and had no low end at all....I never knew that Gerald Weber made any of these. I'd just thought that the Trainwreck hype I'd heard was a bunch of lies.... Thank God I found this forum, to show me how sweet these amps can be
