The only thing some Doctors know how to do is write prescriptions. Since I got sick I was prescribed with steroids, prednizone to be specific and after a few months I said thanks, but no thanks.
Autoinmune diseases have no cure so only treatment. Since medications have side-effects I decided not to follow common treatment because I don't want to mess up something else.
So my treatment has only been holistic, changed my diet and I feel blessed because I feel better now that when i was taking medications.
I have nothing against people that trust their doctors and medicine but until they find a cure for autoinmune problems I won't take the hit of medication when I have no hope.

You are right Red, YOU are the one who has to take the initiative with your ailments. There is a reason Doc's call it a "practice". And taking steroids like prednisolones can cause more problems than they solve. Glad you are feeling better...holistic treatments don't get enough attention in this country. That's because big pharma can't make massive profits off of it like they can on pills etc. But I am not gonna get started on that soapbox. Cheers!
