can someone verify i got the wiring right on the power switch / lamp wiring? i got areal kewl lamp form Allyn but teh chassis was alreayd drilled for a fender type lamp.

It looks like you got your pilot lamp wired to 120v on the power switch. That style lamp usually runs at 6.3v from the heater winding.

hmm thanks man

would it be ok to wire the lamp to v4's heater connections instead of v5's heater connections? :shock:

It shouldn't matter as long as it's 6.3v.

since the chassis was already drilled for a fender type lamp i used it - wired it to V4's heater connection.

getting closer. :)

alittle more progress. ;)


i swapped out my power and standby switch realizing i had some better quality ones i got form Allyn. is the standby switch wired correctly i wonder.

feel free to critigue or point out any mistakes at this point and thanks so much!

doing the socket board wires - making sure lengths are good before i solder. a dry run.

finished up the mainboard pretty much -
have to find some 1.5k 2watt resistors for the grids of output tubes and then onto the power supply.


whats the resistor on the power switch i see in the franbcesca pictures but not in the layout?

will 1watt carbon film work for the 1.5k grid resistors needed?

i have these 130v 17mmavx metal oxide varistors

one goes on the power switch right? one leg on each end of where the PT primarys connect?

Looks like your getting there! 8) Yes the MOV hooks up accross the power switch just like you described.
