Having gone back and re read the comments leading up to this I couldn't find them until I looked at the you tube comments. Not sure who the guy is that criticized you or where he came from but surely it wasn't someone from the board? Could this be confusion on your part between the you tube comment and the comments here. To me, the rest is just the group here kicking around opinions and , as we all know, they'll be honest opinions, and I think that's what allows us to make things better. I know that aspect of this place furthers my ability to build a better amp. Anyway you seem to nhave come to grips with it by the last few comments here in this thread, kudos to you.Mrscratch wrote:just saw SOME of you guys are enjoying my clips!
while i respect another's opinion, i will ask that those of you that CAN or COULD do better, put your money where your mouth is! let us hear YOUR clips! Matte did, he rocks, so did a few others. like micheal e

Re: New Trainwreck Clip
AFAIK older Express amps use 6.6k and later ones use 5.2k. The 5.2k ones sound more aggressive but I definitely prefer 6.6k.M Fowler wrote:What is the proper primary impedance in an Express OT 5k2 or 6k6?

Re: New Trainwreck Clip
I used 6K6 pacific for my traditional Express.
On my Express 212 combo I used a Tweed OT Super/Bandmaster Mojo 6k 4/8 ohm with JTM 45 PT.

it's 6.6K OHM, Ken tried somethings. For some very well known player that had everything from 2500 K to 6600 Ohms. This was in 1990 to 2002
The one that had the 2500 ohms was a very hot Amp. It was on my bench in 1998 from LA.
