cbass makes a good point; doesn't matter that the 25w resistor hasn't melted the cap's insulation, but that it's applying quite a bit of heat to the cap every time you run, and you're shortening it's life. Might be easier just to raise the resistor up off it's posts to get some air space, and add a silicon support or something for the resistor.

GWAR has been to Chico several times. I see they're back Oct 16. Will you be here also?

so, i should have a pretty sloppy sound clip up for you guys a bit later, was just messing around on the amp to a click on some new riffs were working with. decided to record it to see what the amp looked like on the frequency analyzer. i really like doing this, it allows me to see the general slope of the amp and make sure i dont have any peak anywhere that become harsh live. so far so good. nice smooth slope.

also, i asked Scott about the Cap and Resistor. he said not to worry about it, but i can move it if i want, i have decided to leave it for the time being, as i have many other bigger fish to fry if he says its okay. i trust his judgement, the guy builds super high end stereo systems by hand, all the boards and everything with a microscope in some instances. and has blown my mind with what he did just to initially get rid of the noise in my amp.
