Beverly in cabinet and faceplate fitted. I still have to wood burn the lettering and a bulldog picture on the front. Stamped the name and year on the chassis. Also labeled the back of the amp. Amp is burning in nicely. :D

Bulldog is done :) This amp is now finished, had a bad solder joint to find today but that is fixed. (why is it problems only show up when you demo the amp to the owner?) Chassis bolts and feet were the final items to complete the build. :D This amp sounds wonderful after the fix. Nice and clean(not quite as clean as the Rocket) to heavily compressed distortion with a wide variety of tone options depending on how the controls are set. Installed some good preamp tubes while looking for problem and it really helped the tone and gain of the amp. So far VVR working fine, it may add a little noise to the amp but it is so slight it is not a problem. Amp has some hiss also but with the gain of the amp I expected some. Used an A/B box today to compare Leah and Beverly and they do sound slightly different. Beverly has a little harder edge (more rock) tone, while Leah is a slight bit mellower (more of a bluesy tone) according to a friend who played them also today. :)

Beverly has left tonight to live in her new home. :( Not really a bad thing, her new owner had the biggest smile on his face I have ever seen. She will come back to visit when the third amp is done for comparison tests. :)
One more Very Happy Trainwreck clone owner in the world tonight. 8)

Maybe we could start a support group??? :D Set up council centers for the amp obsessed? You know somewhere you could go and hang out with other amp junkies, play music and learn to control your obsession. Oh wait
I think we already have these. Sounds like mine, and my friends home studio's. And the clubs we play at. :) Wonder if we could get a goverment grant to fund these???

Got a start on head cabinets for Leah and Betty tonight. :) Had more tiger cherry than I thought. Enough to make both cabinets, that made my day. :D

Smooth sailing so far, the clamps are off. :) Just have to make the picture frame front and round the edges.
