Hi Dana,

Took some time to read all 19 pages of this thread. Very very impressed. Would love to build one of these Lil Devils. Can you kindly put me on your list for a full kit? Love to get everything you can provide in one big box.

Please let me know when. Thanks much!!!

I finally have the instruction manual finished. Kits are ready to go and I have a few heads already built in cabs for anyone who doesn't want to build there own. I will be attending the NY Amp Show this weekend and am waiting to go to the airport as I type this. Anyone who is going to be at the show please look me up. I will have the Lil Devil there to try out in one of the rooms (Yet to be determined) for anyone who wants to put it through it's paces live.

As soon as I get back from the show I will update our webpage with pricing and a special introductory price that will be good for 30 days. Thanks to you guys being so patient. This manual writing is a PITA and it took a lot longer than I ever imagined to get it done.

:D Great news Dana! I hope that you can send those instructions of Lil Devil to me. I was starting to assemble my amp package but then I found out that I do not have any data concerning my international PT wiring etc. Those instructions would be a big help Dana. I hope that NY amp festival is a big success to you and your innovations. Guys, the instructions are at present a word document that is over 16 meg. I will have a link posted on our website sometime on Monday where you can down load it. It's probably too big for most email boxes.

Dana, all the best in the show. Please keep some stock for us! Any chance you can give us an indication what the ready-built and kit cost will be? Cheers

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the new transformers for the Li'l Devil? Dana's pics show the Hammonds, but not the Heyboers.

I finally figured it out. The Hammonds had the HV secondary and the primary wiring on one side and the heater secondary on the other. Now, both secondaries are on the same side, opposite the primaries. The HV and heaters have center taps to gnd with the Heyboers. The primary has four wires and, for 120 VAC, uses black and black/blue to the fuse and black/white and black/red to the switch.

I had a great time at the show. 8) It was just too many amps to check out in one day. I did get to hear a coupe of genuine Kenny built amps that was in the Celestian room. Never though i would have to opportunity to hear one with my own ears. Awesome show.

I had a lot of guys give the Lil Devil a test drive so maybe we will see some comments here. I think most everyone was surprised at the sound for this little amp. It never fails to put a smile on your face the first time. :D

Tim covered the wiring for the 120v side if you need to wire it for 240v just connect the black/blue to the black/wht wire and run your black wire to one side of the fuse holder and the other black/red wire to the power switch. There is also a 6.3vac center tap on the Heyboers that the Hammonds are missing. I will try and post a link to the Manual tomorrow. I want to give Ron a chance to proof read it and convert it to PDF and I think we will be ready to go.

Got to get some rest

Ok I have sent the finished manual off to Ron for him to edit and correct spellings and generally take my draft and turn it into a thing of beauty. It won't be ready for a few days so in keeping with my word to post something today I will be glad to send a link to any of you guys who need the manual to finish a build of one of the Lil Devil Kits. This won't be on the Hallamplification web page until I get the manual back from Ron. Just shoot me a PM for the Link for anyone who needs it ASAP. This will be almost 17 meg that you will have to download. It will be in MS Word 2003 doc format. I will try and update the web page with kit and head prices later this evening. Thanks for everyones support!

Wondering if it would make sense to wire a voltage selector switch. I now live in a 100V country (Japan) but will eventually move to a 240V country. I can fix it along the way but it probably would be better if I could easily switch back & forth on demand. Would this additional wiring & switch cause interference etc?

No I don't think that would cause you any problems. I think I would probably put it somewhere inside the chassis so it couldn't get accidentally switched.

Absolutely. Would you consider providing an alternate wiring diagram in the kit for your international customers with similar needs and potentially including an additional 2 way switch that goes in the chassis? This could be offered as an add-on mod kit for those people who need it. Just being lazy here I know...

Oh on that note, are we now able to order the kit? Will you offer the head cab as an option along with the kit?

Thanks for all your efforts. Regards

On page 26 of the manual there is an alternate wiring diagram for both 120 and 240v operation. I will see what I can do about a switch. There is something like that mounted in some IEC connectors on computers that may be used.

I am in the process of creating the new webpage for the Lil Devil. As soon as I get it the way I want it (I'm no Internet web page designer  ) I will update the page as soon as I can with all the info. I don't have any plans at the moment to supply cabs as I am a one man show and I can only do so much. I'll post here when they are available. I have a guy that could do the cabs for me but I will have to see how much it would cost to have him do them. I have been talking to him about a new 1 x 12 ported cab I want to try. So far this evening I have been populating a new Travler 18 watt board I pickd up at the show, answering emails and PMs from people needing support on VVR installs and I'm trying to update the webpage.

I have a few mods I want to look into and any ideas are greatly appreciated. I am working on a external box to plug into the speaker jack to make the amp a full blown preamp to slave into another amp or mixer. I hope to be able to put a FX loop in the box also with wet and dry mix controls.

Here are a couple of pics of Serial Number 1. I still need t get the smaller Logo installed but it will give you an idea of what the finished heads look like.
