Dave do you supply the transformers at the same spec as supplied to Ken Fischer?
What do we KNOW about the transformers spec'd by Ken? Were they one-offs, or did he ever settle on a spec for "production"? For what model? Are Dave's specs any different than the Pacific transformers already offered by other sellers at The Amp Garage?

What value is a "guarantee of authenticity" from RockingClassics if he had to get that information from here?

There are no 'Dave Specs'. Again, these are THE transformers we made for Ken. OEM Pacific Parts for Trainwreck. Same model number, same specs as if Ken were still alive and ordering them today. I've posted the shematics of the set. We've already figured out that they were used for Express and Liverpool.

Dave reminds me of the character in the movie, Wayne's World, who decided to swoop in on a popular public-operated show, take it over, repackage it, and sell it for a profit.

You got it back-asswards sir/maam

I guess you've made this far with your ignorance. Must be working for ya, sir

and again... This is authentic as it gets. Under the engineer tab it says Emanuel or 'E-Man' for short. He's the one that cataloged the parts. The actual engineer in charge of these parts passed away before we electronically backed up these spec sheets. His name was Randy Neverka. The parts have not changed.

Um the dude is in business. Wouldnt be much point in doing it if he wasn't making some money. It's not like he came here and asked us to design the transformers for him.I'm sure aduio transformers are a very small portion of Pacific and its not like wreck iron is gonna make their company.I'm glad to see that they are even fucking with it.
Personally I think it's very cool to see pacific offering a line of guitar amplifier transformers.

You certainly don't know that Ken would choose the same specs were he building today. We know he used many different transformer sets in his builds.

I don't see that your transformers are any more special than teh same transformer sets offered by other members at The Amp Garage. No value added.

I'm still curious to learn of these alleged degrees you acquired. What was your area of study?

Audio parts make up not even 2% of what we do. We mass produce irons for 6 name amp companies...still less than 2%.

Technically, I don't have to be here and waste my time taking shit from people who may be:
A: jealous
B: trying to sabotage everyone's actual knowledge.
C: snake me for free shit for nothing. -I told you all about my prototyping offer, and you now have more options for your amp builds. Still don't understand the immediate animosity, but it's gotten rather comical.

Would you like me to provide a birth certificate, social security card, and MEPS serial too?

How 'bout a Certificate of Authenticity? Meh, nevermind, you'd probably just copy someone else's.

Funny that you'll answer those questions but not the ones that matter.

Be well, Dave. 8)

Hey Mark, when you do your testing, would you also give a close listen to mechanical vibration compared to other transformers. Seems that has popped up from time to time. And I have a PT here that I have to change. Or if one runs warmer than the another.
I'm interested in this as well

Yes I can do that. I've had problems with Heyboer mechanic or physical hum issues which they said was due to improperly built transformer and it was replaced.

Interesting. I just did an amp with a Heyboer PT that has a fair shake to it when it's operating. It's bolted down about as tight as it can possibly be, but still has a noticeable vibration. It's not audible, and only realized when you touch it. Doesn't seem to run hot and I've put a fair amount of time on it so far. Heyboer's been good to me and I'll continue to give them my business.

I do have a question for Dave, however. Will your TW trannies be priced the same as the ones currently offered by Pacific, or will there be a significant discount making them actually affordable and worth buying?

Hi Gents

I just finished my express using Dave's trannies. This is #7. I've used Pacifics from Allyn in the past and Heyboer as well.

Facts
1. Trannies were shipped quickly and in perfect condition.
2. They are indeed Pacific trannies.
3. The trannies are quality and sound great to my ear
4. I would be open to purchasing from Dave again.

Cheers
Decko
