Gary

I do stuff like that all the time and I can't use drugs as an excuse

You guys have been posting so much cool stuff I thought I would give you a peek at the new little head cab I built for the amp. I got a couple of prototype face plates in from BnP lasers today

Too late to fire this up but it is finished except for the mosfet heat sink. I have about 60 pics taken of the build I'll try and upload the zipped form to somewhere on the net they can be downloaded.

:D Excellent job Dana! That cab is also perfect for some female guitar player. When women buy cars, they always only look the color which has to be red at least here in Finland. I have been so busy with my everyday work and Bluetone customer projects that my Lil Devil project is delayed. Anyhow sometimes it is good that other guys act as test rabbits and I can benefit not making all fatal mistakes when developing things. anyhow I promise to build that amp in near future. Harry

Call me a girl.... but now I want a little red cab for my Lil' Devil... I think...
That is cool, but no Lil' Devil character  or even a pitchfork? How about an inverted pentagram for the metal dudes, that'd be brutal!

You're going to have to do another run of boards pretty soon Dana, I know I want another one!

I thought the red and black signifying fire and brimstone was pretty approiate. Maybe I'll loose the normal Hall Logo (too big for this amp) and come up with something a little more sinister looking. Actually I'm just trying to get it ready for the Columbus Oh guitar show this weekend and this was quick and dirty. I still want to do a lil combo. I'm all ears if someone has any ideas keep'em coming.

I took a bunch of pics of the last build and have them zipped up and posted for download on my ISP. You can down load them here

http://users.zoominternet.net/~jdhall/a ... 20pics.zip

The file is 43meg and contains over 50 pics. You can follow along with the pics in order and each pic is of a step to complete the amp. My intentions are to turn these into a build manual later on with narative but I thought I would get them into the hands of the guys building the amp as soon as possible to help.

Note that the last two pics show the heat sink I came up with to mount the mosfet. It is held down with two of the screws that bolt the Power supply standoffs to the chassis so no additional holes need to be drilled. I should also note that the NTE 2946 mosfet is a "Isolated Full Pack" which means it can be bolted directly to a grounded chassis without the use of a insulator.

Dana,

Thanks for the download. Great looking amp you built. Not sure If I will build this anytime soon since I still have that combo chassis I got from and haven't done a thing with that so far. Been building cabs.
