Lonely Raven - Arghh! I am working with you so much as a wood working magician I forget that you are in this as deep as the rest of us!!! So, regarding TW pots, yes, I think your suggestion is a good one, with the 'group buy' but I don't think it necessary here. Honestly, even buying the PECs at wholsale from my dist is slightly painful, pretty much the same as West Labs, and I should be able to do better than that. But we'll see of course. For now, since this seems to be my little dream, I'm just going to run with it. I don't think anyone is going to get hurt on this forum, and I sure don't think I am going to get rich. Really, my interest in this is somewhat unique it seems, anyway.

gearhead - yes, I can do the math on the pot settings and you have a point. I guess it comes down to a trial for some, and then, as you suggest, knowing the difference, seeing if they can make better use of its performance. Since this is where most of my amps sit - 30% taper - I will have no problem. If someone has known only 10%, then you're right, there might be an education process. I guess we'll see how the TW culture reacts........

Anyone know where to buy the PEC pots listed in the Express BOM? I have checked many websites, but no one has the right models.

I cannot open that BOM, it seems to be some type of Excel spread sheet and I do not have that on this computer. Care to send me a PDF file of it? And if not, then I can tell you where I purchased my Allesandro branded PEC pots that are probably what you are finding in that list. Remember too, that you can parallel the same value reisitor to a pot to reduce its value in half - that's what I have to do with the PEC 10K that I picked up. Anywho, C.E.DIST out of Arizona was my supplier for the pots.

strato17 - Hey, thanks for the directions to the download but it did not fly. Apparently it is not OK for XP or somesuch. Ah, oh well. Good luck on your build, BTW.
