Slow progress.
Finished wiring - need to double check before I fire up.
Added a PPIMV - not enthused about the pot location.
It's where I usually put the variable voltage control.
180ohm/220uF common cathode for starters.
Apart from that pretty much standard.

Bob

With the can caps mounted on top and diodes mounted on the side wall super clean interior. WOW! I can actually see how this things supposed to be wired.

Where did you get the two conductor shielded wire for the PPIMV wiring?
I find single conductor but not two.

Thanks.

Finally Finished - I think

Post by Bob S »

Finally got this finished up today.
385V on the KT66 plates.
180 ohm / 220uF common catthode.
Thanks Miles, I still can't spell that properly.
Disconnected the PPIMV - 2 gang pots were not matched for linearity.
Subbed in 220k's to ground.
Sounds like a Rocket on roids.

The Ampeg cab stereo/mono switch is toast.
I'll swap in something direct mono & a little more robust.
The shed is thanks to Ampmike.
I wish I could get a decent pic of it.
It is stunning.
Can't thank Mike enough.
He makes great cabs.
