Yeah buddy! Now that's cool Ron. Congrats are in order. Sadly my gonkulator took a horrendous and unscheduled $hit today and the monitor tells me I don't have any audio drivers installed so hearing the amp you sent over the pond aint happenin' just yet.
That's really generous of your buddy to give you credit in the liner notes! I hope this is the impetus to begin an amp building business that's Texas sized large. Big enterprises have started from much less as I'm sure you know.
I hope everything's going well as I haven't heard from you or your handlers in about a coon's age. So put the new Tele aside and give my people a ring and we'll do lunch,

What we should have done is post the sound clips as well?

I asked Mark to do some clips for me whilst he had the amp in the studio.
What you are seeing is him doing them, whilst a separate video clip was being done.

I'll try and get the audio clips up later because they don't suffer any of the youtube compression and were recorded with much higher quality gear.

Yeah, it's lonely here on the plains of Tejas....

Rob, you should post the audio files if possible- but they may be a bit large...

Noel, I'll give you a shout this week, I have been overseas for the past few weeks....

Thanks Darin, it was fun...

BTW, I don't know what I was thinking (dame brammage), the amp actually has reissue Tung Sol 12AX7's in it, NOT JJ's ..... thankfully....

Would just like to pass on my thanks to Rob and Ron for giving me the oportunity to use this incredible amp - It takes a man of caliber to allow a total stranger to drive off into the sunset with his favourite amp stashed in the boot!

Wish I had more time and more licks to do this amp justice, I came over all 'rabbit in the headlights' when I saw the camera and just bashed out one take per guitar.

On a technical level, the audio on the clips wasn't from the camera and was recorded through top notch gear into Pro Tools. However, I had trouble uploading various video formats into YouTube, the only one that worked was an mp4 on iPod setting which I think is highly compressed. I guess all online audio is in a compressed mpeg formatt!

Great to meet you guys and hope to see you in Texas, Ron. Will forward details when fully inked.
Dates in UK for you too Rob. We're main support for Airbourne UK dates in april. These will be rocking!

Cheers

Mark

Mark-

I really pleased that the amp met your approval, it makes me really chuffed that it passed your professional muster.

Now we need to get you off that Matamp and onto an Express full time!

I look forward to hearing from you about SWSW, it is a GREAT venue....

Very nice tones in all the clips! I love the tones of a down tuned guitar. It's very clear but fat.

Yep, no matter what you do Youtube messes with the audio. Kind of a high end swirl to it with extra distortion, in a low fi mp3 sort of way.

Looks like the bright switch is UP. Is that the 500pf or 100pf position or something else entirely?

(on my amp up is 50pf, and down is 500pf)
