I'm doing this for a friend ... it's pretty much a 12 series Superlead but with dual 32s on the screens. I'm getting a little cleaner each time I put one together.
I'll take it outside tomorrow and take a better shot.
The tough part is yet to come ... seeing if it'll fire up!! My wreck build was COMPLETELY trouble free and lit up on the very first try ... I'm hoping for the best with this one.
Sweet! I've got to try one of these 100 watt things. Just got home from giggng with my express and a 335 I just traded a Les Paul for a few hours before the show. Let' get this pacific NW Ampfest underway. Phil
Hey Phil! That would be a blast ... I bet there's a lot of great gear out there that we don't know about.
Omar, I remember your build looking EXTREMELY nice. Almost to the point of making everyone else's look like spaghetti!!
The 12 series is definitely more VH. The regular Superleads will do it too but the 12 series just has that something special that makes you go, "wow, that sounds just a little bit different and better than other Marshalls". The great thing is that it overdrives into VH land but when you back off it's still warm and full sounding which is perfect for Hendrix.
Thanks, gnugear, but I'm actually ready to re-do my plexi build. When I built it I was in a hurry and ran out of wire so the colors are not right. Also, I want to take out the Dale-Vishay's and go back to the carbon films. I think my build ended not sounding quite right. It seems a little too clean sounding.
I'm really interested in the 12 series build. Thanks for sharing.
