Re: DIY Airbrake...
I've been putting off buying the parts from Mouser, due to the poor USD/GBP exchange rate, and have been looking into alternative parts/suppliers.
Skycraft Surplus in Orlando, FL (www.skycraftsurplus.com) has some RJS150 rheostats in stock at 10 bucks a piece, but will only ship to continental USA - sadly, the UK is right out!
Would anyone that side of pond consider helping out me on the other? Happy to pay a small premium if it means getting them cheaper than Mouser!
Cheers,
Ross.

In the 60's people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird , and they take Prozac to make it normal.

Thanks Gary,
The help I was after is in the post immediately before my last

Seriously, if anyone's able to assist in the purchase of two or three RJS150 rheostats from Skycraft, I'd be over the moon, to coin a phrase. A couple of friends and I are looking forward to cranking our ampsrosspix wrote:I've been putting off buying the parts from Mouser, due to the poor USD/GBP exchange rate, and have been looking into alternative parts/suppliers.

Re: DIY Airbrake...
I started today on my airbrake and finished it up. I plan to replace that short yellow wire on the left from the jack to the resistor incase any one is wonder.
Also these were the only knobs I had so live with it.
My selector of course did not follow the Bnwitt layout so I figured I better just following the numbers 1 to 12 and add the jumpers 12 through 5. I hope this is right and I did not fire it up tonight. Should all are sleeping.

Re: DIY Airbrake...
Mark,
Yup, you need to replace that wire. It looks like crap.
It will surely effect the function of the unit. Harmonics, hum, and buzz.
Looks good to me. Let us know how works out.
