What was the thickness of the aluminum on the original Twrecks?

In case this isn't clear I'm wanting to know the thickness of the chassis material. I am assuming it was alluminum (looks like it).
Thanks!

Hi JimiB, I believe that they were standard Hammond 17"x8"x2" chassis that are now discontinued. I'm not sure of the thickness but the current hammonds are .060" I think. They did have a problem with sag due to the weight of the trannys. Francesca had a piece of wood stuck between the trannys (originally) to stop the sag. They also had a piece of cut wood dowel to support the chassis and the bottom plate. Those were both original due to the glue marks on the chassis for the dowel and I also saw similar marks in other Trainwreck pics I saw.

yeah I've got a hammond thats 17x10x3 that I'm drilling but it dosent seem sturdy enough. I've got a friend whose gonna make me some chassis and I'm wondering if .080 aluminum is gonno be sturdy enough.
Also would you guys change any of the (original) chassis dimentions if you could have any size you wanted?

JimiB,
IIRC,the Komboking chassis I have are both .080 aluminum. no sag problem at all with the those trannies.
