Re: Trainwreck Amp (Lori85) On Ebay
What do you think is the average cost per fun us TW cloners are getting.
I am around $600 for each of the amps I have built including the cab and the Ceriatone Express was $670 plus I had to build the cab $75. Even my Asteroid $550 plus custom cab $450 being built for me puts me at $1000.
Whole lot of fun for what the one Original Express starting at $22,000.
Of course I fully realize it would be incredible to own and play an original but I would have to take out a loan at same time convince myself and my wife that I need this amp? Also, I am fully aware that the tone of my amps is no match for Ken's work.
Mark (happy with my clone & my tone)

And, Oh!... what a wonderful time to sell anything.
See, it's a buyer's market. Everyone's in a panic, those with cash are holdin' on to their cash unless it's a really good deal. Those with cash set the prices, that's why they call it "A buyer's market".
Thing is... Fleabay ain't Sotheby's, it ain't Christie's, hell, it ain't even Barrett-Jackson. What our boy Sal needs to do is get this thing into the right venue. Dallas Guitar Show in the Spring, maybe? Or what if we skipped Dallas and all got together, how 'bout Sotheby's Ultimate Gear Auction? Anyone got Dumbles or 'Bursts they want to sell?

Aint that the truth! I'm hanging on to my money for now, but in the last 6CaseyJones wrote:And, Oh!... what a wonderful time to sell anything.

months I've gotten some screamin' deals. I sure as hell won't be selling any treasures until the market seeks an equitable level.
The cream of the musical instrument crop, in terms of desirable vintage stuff certainly aren't sold on Ebay. You gotta know somebody or have your coat pulled by somebody that knows somebody. Sad but true.
