Kman - Well, this is good news in a way.
If I understood you correctly, V2 creates hum? This is with V1 pulled from the socket? Yes? Question: Is it possible that the Russian tube needs to have both triodes operating to reduce hum? Since I do not know this tube I have to wonder. Is there any chance that you can rewire the filaments and install a typical 12AX7 in V2?
OK, get back to me on this please.....
Oh, the DC filament supply does not help a traditional TW using 12AX7s so I would not suggest this in your case. The only issue I have is the Russian preamp tubes? If they prefer a DC supply then you would know more about this than I. My point is, V2 running 1 triode of a 12AX7 is not making a noticeable hum - this much I do know.
Pull only V1. Does the amp still have 50 cycle hum? Take care

Rooster - thanks my friend
6n2p-ew is the same as ecc83 and 12ax7 only filament is a little bit diferent: 6,3V on pin 4 and 5. Pin 9 is a internal shield.
I rewired V1 and ecc 83 is the same noisy as 6n2p but the sound is warmer. Ill think about filament switch on V1
I bought something today - its shiny
Tomorrow Ill work on this
I shall never sorrender

Kman - OK, V2 is the question. If you pull V1 and leave all the other tubes in, does the amp still hum??????????????? Take care.

V4+V5 = silence
V3+V4+V5 = silence
V2+V3+V4+V5 = small hum
V1+V2+V3+V4+V5 = big hum, hiss and crickets
sound is a good quality after all
I think I know what is the problem

This post is a blast. Great crazy fun. I probably would have given up half way through cutting the top of the washing machine off. Keep it coming karczochrulez you are one persistent amp-building brother!

I'm a noobe to the whole amp building experience. As such it is very easy to forget it is all about it being a tone quest and less about parts and so on. This build is a testament to the true ethos of DIY amp building and has been a real inspiration to me.
Cheers Mr. K.
