I got the chassis from Ron Work (email: rkwork@houston.rr.com), which came with some of the holes drilled, Heyboer transformers from http://toneslut.com/transformers, and I'm busy sourcing parts from Weber, Mouser, Hoffman and Sozo. Yesterday I mounted the transformers, which took a lot of time, since the holes weren't drilled, began drilling my preamp turret board, mounted the mains cable, pilot lamp, on-off and standby switches and the mounting standoffs for the preamp and power supply boards. This takes FOREVER in my hands, because as soon as I finally get the transformer mounted, I'll find that I need to drill another hole under it for a board mounting standoff, etc. Luckily I didn't cut myself too much.
Anyway, a question: has anyone done a good layout for the power supply board, tube connections and so on? I've pieced together a preamp layout and a partial layout for the pots connections from the files on this site, but unless someone's done layouts for the rest of it I'll be fumbling it together from the schematic.
I've started an Express -need power supply board layout

Hi Wayne,
Here is a thread that contains a P/S layout which I drew from my express clone. This may give you some ideas.

One rub that comes into play is the physical size of my layout. I have a large chassis with plenty of room so it wasn't an issue. I am working on rev2 which will have a smaller footprint. The main thing is to use it as a guide.

Eric, would you mind posting that again, or emailing it to me? The other one is corrupted. (edit) nevermind, it works if I copy it to my machine first.
