Badlands KF Inspired Express Finished

Post by DustyBadlands »

Hi All,
I finally finished and loaded my Express into a cabinet. It's not your typical Trainwreck 3/4in. cherry wood cab. :( but, a 5/8in. oak dovetail jointed cab made by a local cabinet maker. The price was right and I think he did a great job. The amp sounds great. I had no idea how LOUD this beast was going be! I'm using 2 NOS Siemen EL34's Biased at 45mA. V1 NOS Mullard 12AX7, V2 NOS Amperx 6072, V3 New Groove tubes silver series 12AX7.Some of my voltage readings are a little less than I have seen posted. The amp is fairly quiet except for a little hiss. I read in forum that this typical for Trainwrecks. I'm running through a 4X10 Cabinet. I'm thinking of upgrading to a 4X12 Marshall style Cabinet. Thanks for all the great information in the forum. Victor (DustyBadlands) :D Made this Airbrake over the weekend.

Glad you got it done and I was surprised when I read Badland because that is what I was going to call my amps since I spent most of my life in North Dakota a typical Dakota Kid I guess.

Post some pictures when you can I enjoy seeing everyone has done.
