Not sure what you mean here.. "B1"?? The OT is connected to the Standby switch and the Impedance selector.... Can you clairify??

The B+1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are from the Power section. The CT of the OT primary is connected to the B+1 -thru- the standy switch.

He's saying he grounded the CT instead of running it to the B+1.

Nice work Carl!

Let's see, you joined the site in November, showed us some boards on March 12th and were playing the amp somewhere between the 16th to the 17th for your first build. Is this a new record?

I have been obsessed lately.......

Anyway, I took my TW to my local boutique shop and played around with different cabs:

PCW OS2x12 with greenbacks. Sounded full, crunchy, very open

PCW OS1x12 with an EMI Red Fang. Sounded very chimey and punchy. Easier to get feedback with. Cleans were crisp and musical. This cab accentuated the bloom characteristics of the TW

Top Hat 2x12 empty combo cab with a G12-30 Heritage and a red Fang. This cab didn't sound to good. Too much mid-range. Not a good, balanced mix.

THD 2x12 with a vintage and a brit? Sounded pretty good, but kind of fuzzy, less high end than I care for.

DRZ, Not sure what speakers were in it, but they were too bright. It squealed too easily with the TW. Ironically, its sounds great with a /13 head you see in the background.

Germino slant 4x12 with Greenbacks. Awesome is all I can say!

Top Hat 2x12 with Weber blue dog alnico/ceramic combo. By far this was my fav. 2x12 cab It was awesome in every respect. Just slightly behind the Germino 4x12 in richness.

The guitars used were:
1. Suhr Pro S3 Olympic White (This was my Favorite at the store)
2. Suhr Pro S5 bengal burst flame top
3. Suhr T Butterscotch
4.Heritage with Seth Lover pups (This was my least favorite)
5. Grosh Retro (This was my second favorite)
6. O'Donnell (Aussie Boutique Luthier, my third favorite)

I bought a Cab for my Express from muchxs and wow! I was blown away how nice it is. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

The price was very reasonable too. I just ordered a matching Port City Wave OS 1x12 in the same tolex. I can't wait for that to come in.......

Eric is good people. I got a brown tolex head cab from him for my TW, and it's *very* well made.
