I've got a bit of a crazy idea to build basically a liverpool preamp for one channel and a Matchless clubman for a second channel except using the unused triode from the liverpool side as the input side of the clubman.
I think i will have to rework the layout a bit but I think it should work, any ideas or suggestions
I just started a project where I plan to have Express preamp in one channel and some cleaner solution (Vox, DLite, Fender?) for another channel. I am aiming to use 2xEL90+EL95 tubes in powerstage with own PPIMV for both pairs of tubes. Channel switching will be done by relays and a footswitch. I have done several amps with two independent preamps and channel switching, most often one channel Marshall oriented and the other one Fender oriented. I do not see any difficulties to do an amp like you described. Harry
