Cinch 9 pins sockets
I screwed up, got carless and drilled 1/16 to deep for a 9 pin socket. I have Beltons but Ken used Cinch 9 pins according to Glen. I hoping these are a tad larger than Belton. Any one have any insight? Or know of any other sockets Ken used that are slightly bigger than Beltons that I can use? This will seriously be stuck in the back of my mind if I cant fix this!

Do you mean you were using a step drill and drilled to 13/16?

Ya I was aiming for 3/4with the step and went up one step to many to 13/16. Using a hand drill its hard to judge. All holes are straight and even though its just this one socket that's driving me nuts

Re: Cinch 9 pins sockets
I have some old Cinch and Elco noval sockets and they both fit the 3/4 hole. I'll measure them and compare the mounting diameters with the Belton, which I also have.

Re: Cinch 9 pins sockets
The collar overhang of the Belton, Cinch and Elco sockets are all greater than 0.8125 in (13-16) so if you locate the socket in the oversize hole more or less centrally, the edge of the hole won`t show. So the mounting center holes should not intrude on the widened hole, and especially not the Belton as it`s the widest of the three.
The mounting centers are 1.096 for the Cinch, 1.105 for the Elco and 1.125 for the Belton. The actual diameters of the socket molding vary between .718 and .730, so all a bit less than the 0.75 hole, as one would expect.

That's great David I thank you for going out of your way for the details. Thts what I was afraid of. The Belton covers it from the out side. This was a Bud so im a bit upset. I should have paid someone to do it. But then again the hole template in the trainwreck files probably are close but not accurate anyways
