JM Build

Post by lpd »

I came across a few pics of the internals of a JM Express build. Has anyone seen the inner of these or is it taboo to post?

I say post them. If we can post Ken's amps, we surely should be able to post JM's amps.

I posted what was claimed to be internal photos of a JM Rocket a couple years back. It was a good build using Sprague filter caps.... everything else seemed authentic enough.

I'm not sure what he is using for chassis but he certainly has a decent stash ofNOS parts.

He has occasionally purchased some NOS Mallory filter caps from me and also some CDE more modern but still otherwise unavailable filter caps. Both sets were to go into amps he was repairing and the owners wanted them the same as the originals.

He is an easy guy to talk with...really decent and humble. He has a few good KF stories to boot.

I am about to start a Rocket build with period correct parts from Rj. The only "non" original part, will be the power PT. This will be custom wound for me locally. I have ordered an original (cloth covered wire A470) OT. What a great guy to deal with. Did an express build a while back with his stash of parts and, wow!!
Will post my build
If it sounds good, it is good! Trust your ears
